Collect
Viesel Fuel™ is primarily made from 100% recycled frying oil. Our oils are collected from hundreds of restaurants and businesses throughout South and Central Florida. We have established collection routes and storage areas in a number of cities where collected oils are stored in the first phase of our Viesel Fuel production.
Decant
South Florida’s weather is perfect for our decanting process. The warm sun and average ambient temperature in the upper 70’s to low 80’s means our recycling process starts the moment we gather the used oil.
Over a period of days, impurities, solids, and waste water separates in our decanter silos. By carefully removing these materials at specific gravity points, our raw Viesel Fuel™ is ready for the refinery process.
Separate
As our raw Viesel Fuel™ decants and separated materials are removed for further recycling, molecular changes are also taking place. Binding agents used in cooking fuel and impurities continue to separate from the basic oil product.
Solids that are separated during the refining process are collected and make their way to rendering companies where they are recycled into pet and other non-human food products.
Even though waste water and impurities are separated from the used oil, the decanted liquid sent through a filter and is further refined by heating the oil in a Viesel powered furnace. Here the normal byproduct is the fresh smell of French fries!
Centrifuge
From our furnace, the decanted and separated liquid is cooled and sent through a series of increasingly smaller filters. Each step of this filtering process is monitored to assure no significant impurities make their way into our centrifuge.
The centrifuge is one of the final steps in the refining process. Any impurities not caught by the centrifuge are removed by yet additional micron filtration. The end result…Viesel™
Viesel Fuel™ is pure recycled vegetable oil. Pure. Clean. No Carbon. ASTM – D 396 certified.
